In one of the first versions of the website, game listings were put on separate pages. It was a pain to maintain. (rhyme intended!) So I decided to put all games on the same page, and have it navigate-able with a technique called anchoring. For a few game listing this would work out just fine, but once the list increased to 10+ games it became quite crowded, especially since I found out the force that is GIFs. So I made my worst decision yet: split the full games from the jam games, and put those on two separate anchored pages.
You can see where this goes: too confusing, too crowded, and generally a mess. So today I finished the release year sorting. Now there are three game pages, and each game is listed on the page of it's release year. This is inspired by the sorting on Terry Cavanagh's site distractionware.com (whose creations are often used as a source of inspiration for me). Now players can start with my more recent, better work more easily. On the page itself it's also distinguishing major and minor projects for even more clarity. Almost no game has it's individual page now, it often refers to it's listing on either GameJolt or itch.io. The navigation is cleaner than ever now, with just 10 items at moment of writing. I do want to add some thumbnails there, but since this editor has no automatic support for such a thing so I need to add it by hand. Well, there are worse things.
You can now contact me by mail on the Feedback page (it took me long to find a good service for protecting it with a CAPTCHA). There is also a link to my Play Store profile in the navigation. And there are some other, small cosmetic changes.
So, the site remake has almost been completed! After that, I'll get back to devving... It's kinda difficult to pick a project from my many, many ideas... Ah well, all in time.
